My Life Project

I really liked the My Life Project. I thought it was a good review of everything that we did in the class this year. I think it required us to use all of the tools that we had learned about. I used iMovie, GarageBand, PowerPoint, Zamzar, and Easy Bib. I also liked the idea of the project. It really brought back good memories of when I was little. I really liked all aspects of the project. It was fun and if you worked on it for about and hour a day you would be done in two weeks. I really liked the whole project. It wasn't boring, long, or hard.

Music Genome Project

I really liked the music genome project. It was a good way to learn about how to create transitions in GarageBand. I also learned a lot about iMovie. I learned what formats iMovie would allow you to use. I also learned how to use transitions a lot better. I had never converted movies using Zamzar and that will probably be useful in the future as well. I did not like this project because it was a lot of work. I think it should have been two separate projects: one to make the GarageBand and one to make the iMovie. Overall I thought this project was pretty interesting. It was fun to do and it required enough work to occupy all of the time we had in class.

Video Conversions

I got five or six videos converted today and I thought this was fairly productive. I do not think that it was the school network slowing us down, but it was Zamzar going slow. I think that Zamzar takes care of the paying customers first and gives them a faster downloading speed, so it goes slower for me. It still took around ten minutes to convert each video and another ten minutes to get the e-mail. For the time it took to download these videos (and the four or five times I had to shovel my driveway), I think five or six videos is pretty productive. The one thing I liked about doing this at home was that Vevo was unblocked so I could use their music videos. I thought I did a lot for my iMovie project.

iMovie Storyboard

I really liked the iMovie storyboard project because I got to make my first iMovie. I had especially liked the interviews. I had a ton of fun interviewing Mr. Burk. I also enjoyed learning about how to do special effects in iMovie. Even though we did not get to use the green screen room because the teachers couldn't go there, we messed around with effects and I know how to use the green screen room now. I also enjoyed working in a group. We all worked well together and we got a lot done. I really enjoyed this project and I hope to do one like this again.

Movie Review Podcast

I really liked the Movie Review Podcast project. I feel a lot more comfortable using Garage Band now and I also learned what a Podcast is. I had heard of Podcasts, but I had no idea what they were. I also liked the project because we had the freedom to do almost any movie we wanted and I am a lot more interested in topics that I know and care about than topics that are boring to me. I also liked this project because it gave me a reason to watch one of my favorite movies of all time, Zombieland. I have been watching this movie in advisory all week and I had forgotten how good of a movie it was. I loved the freedom of topics in this project and I hope to do something like this again.
